Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) Seafarer ENG-1 Medicals
Seafarer's employed on ships must have a seafarer medical fitness certificate, which in the UK is an ENG 1.
The certificate confirms that they are medically fit to work on sea-going ships and they do not have a medical condition which could be a danger to other crew and or passengers.
The medical consists of: A questionnaire, Medical Examination including vision test, Urinalysis, Audiometry

Please note that if your BMI >30.0 you may well require a separate Chester Step exercise performance assessment in accordance with MCA guidance

Please ensure you bring along the following to your examination:
- Passport, Drivers Licence or Seafarers book
- Previous ENG-1 certificate if applicable
